This is Course 4 of the Program “Establishing a Data Management Function.”
This course is an advanced training course for data management professionals. This course has several objectives:
- Share knowledge and coach the development of practical skills in developing a data governance capability (DG) and/or function
- Explain key components that constitute this capability
- Assist in developing a DG capability that fits a company’s needs and resources
After completing this course, you will be able to:

- Develop or adjust a data management framework for your company’s needs

This section provides a high-level overview of the “Data Management Star” implementation method and its Step 2. This method forms the basis for the program “Establishing a Data Management Function.” In this section, we introduce Step 2 of this method, “Defining a DM strategy and designing capabilities.
